This Lions Exchange in Romania from the 4th to the 24th of july was the best camp ever. In this fantastic experience I learnt many new things and above all I met new kindly people. At the beginning when I left, I didn't believe that I could have fun for many reasons.
The first two days I was in Bucharest with a part of the campers and we visited the city, specially the Parliament a very famous building.
On the 7th of july, campers and me moved to Cabana Diham. It's a place,a wooden house on the top of a mountain, more or less 1700 metres high.
We have been here for 12 days and I remember every day differently, we changed every time activity and place. The most beautiful and amazing activity was hiking, once we walked 14 hours into the forest. That' s the reason why they taught us to use the compass and orientate ourselves into the wood.
after the camp we all moved to the host family for a week.
My host brother was two years younger than me but it wasn' t a problem. During this week I met new Romanian friends and we went to play tennis and to swim all together.
I visited the city where I went to ,called Cluj Napoca. My host mother was a special cook, I enjoyed every meal. I also tasted Romanian traditional dishes but I can' t remember any name :(. In the end the things that mostly impressed me about Romania was the landscape.
Everything was surrounded by mountains, it was a news for me.
Maybe one day I will go again to Romania and I suggest to visit it!
