This year I decided to participate in Lions Youth Exchanges, and On July 15, one of the best experiences I have ever had begun.
I went to Slovenia and for the first week I was hosted by a woman named Petra, a mother of two sons, Luca and Jacob, who were also going through the same experience one in Italy and the other in Germany.
I had the opportunity to live this week together with a Finnish girl named Mira. She is such a sweet girl and we immediately hit it off, sharing moments like two sisters. Also, our host mom was friends with a lady named Barbara who was hosting two boys, Gaetano, also from Italy, and Summer a German boy.
For the whole week all four of us were together, we did a lot of activities like visiting caves, walking in nature, visiting monuments, we practiced different sports like basketball, volleyball, all this to get to know and experience the customs and traditions of the country at their best.
