Campo Emilia taught me many things.
The most important being to never stop trying.
The first few days for me were hard, as I wasn’t making many friends and always found myself one step behind.
But as I tried to understand the camps purpose and talking with the campers from Italy, I realized I needed to focus on others and not on myself.
Within the next few days, I no longer wanted to get back to the castle and sleep but to get back and start having fun all over again.
I found myself going to bed as the sun was rising or not even going to bed at all.
And for that, I thank all of you campers More importantly, thank you camp leaders.
I do know that this camp would not have been possible without the amazing camp leaders. They always found a way to put humor and fun into everything, even if we all looked like we were tired and angry and hungry and bored.
Their efforts made Campo Emilia everything it could’ve been and more.
Minnesota feels very small and my heart feels very big as each of you left an impact on me.
I’m so grateful for the way everything turned out and couldn’t be more glad to have shared this experience with everyone.
I will never forget those 10 days, and more importantly, I will never forget you all.
